The Beginners' Forum welcomes you to America Online!
Included with the America Online software is a desk accessory containing HELP files which fully explain all of your America Online functions. To access the DA, use Command / or select HELP after clicking on the Apple icon found on your menu bar.
Because many users have asked for it, we've captured all those HELP text files and have put them into one folder--which, if you're reading this, you have just downloaded! This set of text files duplicates the information available in the Help DA available within your America Online 2.0 software. The five files are broken down as follows:

The Edit Menu
The Go To Menu

After reading these help files, if you find you need additional help, if you're confused, if you want clarification, if you just don't understand, or if you feel lost and just want a warm hand to hold, come to the Beginners' Forum where newcomers are always welcomed with a smile and a helping hand!
To get there, open your keyword window using Command K. Into the window type ABF (ABF is the 3 letter keyword for quick access to the Beginners' Forum). Then hit return. In the Beginners' Forum you'll find this menu:
Beginners' Update: This text document is updated weekly. It tells you all about the Beginners' Forum.
Beginners' Green Room-Talk & Help: This is a conference room where 'help sessions' are held three times a week! You're invited to use the room, or to wander in and listen, at any time!
Beginners' Message Boards: We've arranged our message boards so even the newest user will feel comfortable posting that first message!
Beginners' Software Libraries: Our libraries contain beginners' software, our Beginners Disk of the Month and helpful text documents!
Beginners' Starter Kit: Everything you need to know to start you on your downloading way!
Beginners' Ask: Your most frequently asked questions are answered in easy-to-read, easy-to-access, form.
Across the Boards: An area for Apple II informal 'messaging.'
Online Home Companion: An area for NON-COMPUTER talk and play.
If all else fails, if all you want to do is throw your hands in the air and give up, DON'T! Instead hold your Command K, type M (for mail) and write AFL SandyB a letter asking for HELP! I'll be happy to come to your rescue!
